I've been in touch with the venue for the Birmingham show and there's a band curfew at 22:00 on the night that they're playing (Sat 22nd Oct). No info about when the Trews start their set, but I'll be there from about 7pm.
The reason for this is that there's a 'club' night at the venue starting from 23:00 so they want the venue cleared before the next lot of paying punters arrive.
Hope this helps.

The show was really good thanks, but there were some technical difficulties. Being right down the front (not exactly difficult with about 100 people in the venue), the sound wasn't fantastic, but when you know the songs, it doesn't matter too much. JA's amp broke for the second time in 2 nights - ouch.
They played for about 75 mins, and I picked up a setlist (thanks Jack) which was...
World I Know Not Ready To Go So She's Leaving Can't Stop Laughing Love Is the Real Thing Hope & Ruin Highway Of Heroes Tired Of Waiting (mid song break in to a song about Pocahontas ! Never heard it before) Paranoid Freak Poor Ol' Misery Loves Company Hold Me Burning Wheels - they didn't play this. Some Canadian guys asked for Yearning, and they got it.
There was a guy from Antigonish (sp ?) there too, and he & Colin sang a verse from one of the local folk songs. A great moment I thought - I ended up holding the mic stand !
I chatted to a couple of other UK fans (amazing, there's more than two of us !) - hi to the guys from Cardiff and St Neots. Hope you enjoyed the show too.
With a bit of patience and good luck, I managed to get backstage after the show. Had a good chat with the guys about all sorts, as ever they were really friendly. I didn't want to overdo it so I only stayed for about 15 mins and to get things signed.
Next stop for me, Bristol on Tuesday.
